I hope you all had a great 4th!
Ours was very low key. We started the morning super early thanks to two certain little boys and after a lazy breakfast we wandered down the street to watch our neighborhood parade. Declan got completely into the patriotic spirit, waving two mini flags and oohing and ahhing over all the classic cars. Ez mostly only cared about the candy and then ditched us when the Corvettes started revving their engines. We went down to the festival only to decide it was waaaay too hot, ate takeout instead, and caught up on the Bachelorette while our littlest early riser napped the afternoon away. Since Ez is currently in a phase where he hates loud noises we opted out of fireworks, but thanks to numerous firework enthusiasts within the neighborhood I still got my fireworks fix.
All in all a nice, lazy family day with a little something for everyone.
And now onto an even more important birthday than the USA's... Happy Birthday Mom!! Thanks for all you do, all that you've taught me, and all the love you give. We love you, broken foot and all.
