22 Weeks Bump Update

22 Weeks Pregnancy Update
Hope everyone had a great Christmas!! We already got lots of cute baby clothes and stuff, so I'll be posting pics of those later this week. I was so busy visiting with friends and family I didn't get a chance to do a 21st week picture and update. I think I grew a lot over Christmas (probably not a coincidence with a diet of Christmas cookies and chocolate).

Total Weight Gain: About 15 lbs. That was after a few days of sugar cookies for breakfast.
Maternity Clothes: I bought another pair of maternity jeans, which I'm wearing for the first time right now. And I had to buy a bigger coat cause none of my old ones would button. I got a cute non-maternity pea coat on sale at Macy's, which I think will fit me for all of winter. I also got lots of cute sweaters with room to grow in for Christmas. Thanks Mom!
Best Moment of the Week: Christmas with family and friends was so much fun. We had dinner with Joe's mom before I left, and while I was in Modesto my schedule was jam-packed with fun family and friend dates.
What We're Reading & Watching this Week: I finally saw Bad Santa and we watched Chaplin last night - both are very good. I really want to watch Chaplin's Dictator now.
Food Cravings: Fruity Pebbles, Christmas Cookies, and Taco Bell have been high on the list.
Exercise: I've been pretty good about getting at least 10,000 steps in, sometimes 15,000.
What I Miss: A glass of wine with friends would be nice.
Happy or Moody? Happy.
Movement: Yep! I think Joseph will be able to feel him soon too.
Looking Forward to: 2013! Our baby will be born this year :)

Christmas Lights! Part 2 of Our Holiday Adventure

Last Sunday night (12/16/12) we hit up all the major Pasadena Christmas lights destinations: Christmas Tree Lane, Bailian House, and Hastings Ranch. Pictures can't do justice to how beautiful everything looked, but we still got some pretty good shots.

But first, dinner at the Green Earth Vegan Cafe. I was craving some soup for my sore throat and their wonton soup really hit the spot. Joe got a "steak" sandwich. Plus tofu cheesecake for dessert. Yum!

Next up was Christmas Tree Lane - unfortunately those pics didn't come out that great.

Stop #2: Bailian House:

And the final stop, my personal favorite, Hastings Ranch:

Christmas Merriment: Chill at the Queen Mary

As I mentioned in my 20 week update, we did a lot of Christmas stuff last week, and, of course, we have hundreds of pics to show for it. First up was Chill at the Queen Mary. We still had two free day passes leftover from our Ghost Harbor excursion, so we decided to use them after our early morning 20 week doctor's visit. Since we got there earlier this time, we were able to see a lot more of the Queen Mary than we did during our October visit. Also, they did a really nice job of making everything festive, with huge Christmas trees in nearly every room. After exploring the ship, we went to Chill, which is basically a Christmas Village with an ice skating rink, and a giant, freezing dome filled with gorgeous ice sculptures. You can check out all of the pictures here.

But first, we needed some Mexican food. Chile relleno & enchilada for me, shrimp enchiladas for Joe:

After a few hours of exploration, it was time to check out Chill. The ice sculptures were amazing, but overall, it didn't take that long to view them all, and there wasn't much else to do that didn't cost money (ice skating, eating, shopping). Overall, I probably wouldn't pay to do it again next year, but I'm glad we checked it out once. Also, we saw several people try to refuse the parkas, and let me tell you, they are CRAZY! It was freezing in there. I thought my nose was going to fall off. I wish I would have taken the advice of the lady at the Scottish gift shop and bought some gloves.

I know we have a ton of pictures, but I only chose a select few for this blog. There's actually waaaay more great ones that I just didn't have room for. Coming up next is our tour of Pasadena's best holiday decorations.
