Watching... Friday Night Lights. We just finished Parenthood over the weekend. I ran through our entire tissue stockpile during that last season. So many tears. But also so many feel good moments, and just so good all around. It's my favorite show ever. Friday Night Lights has a lot of the same actors and Joe says it's his favorite show ever, so we're about three episodes in and I'm loving it so far. Oh, and Bachelor just started. Ben got stuck with all kinds of crazies this season. Should be interesting. Is it sad that my show goals are the most planned out part of 2016? Don't answer that...

Reading... Mrs. Hemingway from the blogger book exchange last month, and Mastery by Robert Greene. I'm loving them both. My goal is to read more than one book a month, which was my 2015 average.

Listening to... Disney channel theme songs. Impossibly catchy and always stuck in my had. PJ Masks we're the PJ masks...cuz bedtime...is the right time... TO FIGHT CRIME! Someone needs to come de-brainwash me. Please.

Planning... our wedding! A lot of you may think we're already married, since we're the definition of an old married couple, but nope. Wedding planning has never been my thing, and if it weren't for my mom taking it upon herself to scout locations where they take care of every last detail Ez and Declan would probably be in college before we tied the knot.

Thinking about... our honeymoon - the only part of the wedding planning that really appeals to me. The problem is that I've never been anywhere and I want to go everywhere, so narrowing it down will be the hard part.

Working on... losing the baby weight. I gained the same amount each pregnancy and it took me a year to lose after Ez, but at the rate I'm going it'll take two years this time around. I could blame it on being older, or spending so much of the last three years pregnant, but if we're being honest here I'm thinking my love of all things chocolate and aversion to the treadmill are probably to blame.

Looking forward to... seeing all kinds of family this year that I haven't seen in way too long. I miss having all my sisters in one place.

Trying... to spend daily one on one time with Ez. He's been super clingy and snuggly lately and we all know that won't last. We've been spending Declan's naptime doing puzzles, flash cards, playing memory, reading, and of course, playing with his new Radiator Springs set. His mood is dramatically better if he gets that mama time each day.

Loving... that feeling of renewal and motivation that the new year brings.

Wearing... sweaters and leggings. Every day. It's my winter momiform and I wish I could wear sweaters all year long.

Craving... Mexican food and a good margarita.

Wishing for... more sleep. Although part of me knows that once Declan starts sleeping through the night I'll miss it just a teensy tiny bit. If he could narrow it down to just one nighttime feeding, I'd be happy.

Splurging on... sweaters. Macy's was having too good of a sale to pass up. We're talking $80 sweaters for $15.

So there's a little slice of life at this moment. Anyone care to share honeymoon destination recommendations? Or favorite books or shows? Something tells me we'll go through Friday Night Lights way too fast...

Currently in Toddlerville

Happy 1st day of June! It's been awhile since I've done a Currently post, so here's what's going on right now in Toddlerville.

Currently watching... Myself. All day everyday. Thankfully mom and dad record my every move. I crack myself up. Does that make me an egomaniac? I didn't think so either.

Currently eating... Cheerios. Off the floor. Mom tried to give me cereal without milk. Joke's on her.

Currently reading... anything featuring trucks. Little Blue Truck, Trucktown Race from A to Z, Red Truck... betcha had no idea there were so many books about trucks, did ya? Also, the best way to really get to the heart of the book is to read it twenty times. In a row. Complete with sound effects. Trust me.

Currently singing... "Dadgum." If you haven't watched Mater's Tall Tales continuously on a six hour car trip, you're really missing out on the finer joys of life. (And yes, dadgum is the only lyric. Don't cheat yourself - be sure to check out the acoustic version AND the heavy metal version.) Also, Wheels on the Bus is a close second. I've got mom up to 30 made-up verses, and while she scrambles around trying to think up new lyrics I like to chant "more! more! MORE!" She does her finest work under pressure.

Currently playing... A fun game I like to call: "carpet the floor with all 3,062 cars and trains I own." This game also doubles as a strategic battle game, since the cars make effective landmines and booby traps.

Currently working on...my status as cutest kid in the whole world. My signature move: grabbing mom by the hand and leading her to the couch for snuggles. She's wrapped around my little finger.

Currently protesting...EVERYTHING! "Wanna go play outside?" "Wanna go to Gymboree?" "Want a snack?" Geesh! Stop asking! I've learned the word "no" and I'm not afraid to use it. Here's my answer to everything:

Currently wishing for... More cars. My collection of 3,062 is a little on the light side, don't you think?

Currently looking forward to... My last month as an only child and also to becoming a big bro, aka - The Boss.

PS - in case you're interested, here are all the other Toddlerville updates.

Currently... The Moving Edition

I always love reading other bloggers posts about what's currently going on in their lives, so I thought I'd do my own version here.

Currently...

Reading: I just finished up the 1st Game of Thrones book and Wild by Cheryl Strayed and I started the 2nd Game of Thrones book A Clash of Kings, mainly because it's one of the few books that isn't packed up. I was intending to read a shorter book before tackling this thousand-pager.

Watching: Chuggington! Badge Quest! And listening to Ez say "choo choo!" - pretty cute background noise, if you ask me. Other than that, the only regular show I'm currently watching is Bachelor. Judge me if you will.

Eating: McDonalds breakfast is the best! Egg McMuffin (no meat) and a hashbrown. The baby wanted it ;)

Drinking: McDonalds iced coffee. I still drink one cup of coffee today, and the McCafe drinks are so weak, I'm pretty sure it only counts as half a cup. They're tasty though!

Wearing: PJs! Other than that, my preggo uniform is basically leggings + long tanks from H&M + a comfy, baggy shirt. Owning a pair of black leggings for every day of the week is normal, right?

Thinking about: The move. We're picking up the keys this afternoon and then we'll start moving stuff I don't really trust the movers with (aka - anything breakable). The movers come tomorrow and then the real fun begins.

Loving: That my parents are on their way down here this very moment and will be taking Ez to Disneyland today and tomorrow while we deal with the moving madness.

Looking forward to: Celebrating my baby bro's 21st birthday at Disneyland tomorrow! Happy birthday (uncle) Avery!

Wondering: Why it is my parents always manage to pick the three days a year it rains in So Cal to go to Disneyland. Are they bringing the rain with them??

Needing: a trip to the grocery store. Bad. We're down to about 6 eggs and a loaf of bread. No milk. No bananas. No yogurt. Basically no Ez staples whatsoever. Was hoping to make it through the move without buying more food, but that's looking pretty impossible at the moment.

Wishing: we could fast forward through the packing/unpacking of the next few days while somehow also pausing to enjoy the fun stuff, like Disneyland. Since that's impossible, I'll just wish for a smooth move with minimal broken things. And maybe a post-move massage or mani-pedi would also be nice! By the way, as a sidenote, that gel manicure I got three weeks ago is still going strong. No chips. Pretty amazing considering it usually only takes half a day for my nail polish to chip when I do it myself...

Grateful for: everything falling in place at the last minute in regards to selling our house and finding a new house that we love. Can't wait to get all settled in at the new place :)
