Exactly one year ago (+ 9 hours and 40 minutes), after 9 months (+ 1 week) of waiting, your dad and I finally got to meet you for the very first time. We spent the first day of your life crammed into a tiny, air conditionerless room on a very hot day, much like today. At one point there were nine of us in that tiny room as you met your grandparents and uncles for the very first time. You and I were so sleepy after a long labor. Looking back on that day, I will always remember it as one of the best days of my life. I get weepy thinking about how tiny and perfect you were, and how happy I was to hold you in my arms for the first time. Back then we had no idea how much joy you would bring into our lives every single day. You make me so proud to be your mom. Your dad and I love you more than you will ever know.
