Engagement Photos

A few months ago, after our first meeting with our wedding planner, we decided we needed some photos of just the two of us for wedding purposes. Turns out, there are practically no photos of just the two of us, and if you remove the ones where I'm pregnant then all we're left with is four or five year old pictures. We decided to remedy that and dropped the boys off with my parents so we could go take some pics. Notice I didn't say have our pictures taken. If we're going to splurge on a photo shoot we'd want the boys to be in it as well. Instead we just used our trusty iphones and a tripod and took some DIY engagement photos. I actually love the way they turned out. I know real camera photos are much better...if you know what you're doing. We don't. And I think the setup would've taken a lot longer per shot, whereas this was really convenient. We just had a little clicker button that connects to bluetooth so we could snap a ton of pictures at once. And it took a ton of pictures to get that one shot of both of us in the air. That was seriously a workout. Lots and lots of jumping. The whole thing wound up being lots of fun though. That last photo is my personal fave and the one we used for our invitations.

Less than two months till the big day!! It's getting real, folks!
