Weekend Recap Part 1: San Diego Zoo!

We took a mini family vacation to San Diego, and, of course, we took so many photos while we were down there that this is going to be another two part post.

First stop was the zoo, where we lucked out and managed to wander into the giraffe area during the one hour of the day that guests were allowed to feed them. Of course, after the great photo op of Ezzy staring in terror at the camel we fed at the LA fair last year, we had to get some photos of him feeding the giraffes. He didn't seem too scared this time, but he definitely wasn't taking his eyes off those giant giraffes with the super long tongues sniffing around his head. That was such a cool experience, and may be my favorite part of the whole trip.

Speaking of the LA fair camel incident, we actually came face to face with a camel at the zoo, and this time Ezzy stared him down and let out a loud yell, flapping his arms at the camel, which I'm pretty sure means that Ezzy asserted his dominance and is now king of the camels. Now that he's a great big ten month old, he's not scared of anything anymore!

Other highlights of the zoo for Ezzy included watching all the trams drive by, examining and then trying to eat the map, and, of course, people watching (aka - girl watching). He was a trooper and refused to nap at all while we were there. There was just too much going on and he wanted to take it all in.

Hope you had a great weekend too!
